Beliefs

The Scriptures
The Bible is God-inspired, consisting of the 39 Old Testament books and the 27 New Testament books, and is the only infallible rule of faith and practice. The Bible is inerrant in the original manuscripts.

God and the Trinity
There is one true God who is holy, unchangeable, all knowing (omniscient), all powerful (omnipotent), fully sovereign, has no beginning and no end (eternal), and his whole being is present everywhere (omnipresent). God eternally exists in three persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit – the Trinity.

Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, being fully divine became man without ceasing to be God. He was crucified for our sin, buried, and raised from the dead. Jesus ascended to the Father and will return in glory to judge the living and the dead and establish His righteous kingdom.

The Fall
When tempted by Satan Adam and Eve rebelled against God. Because Adam represented all mankind, the results of his sin are passed on to all his descendants. Fallen, sinful people, whatever their character or attainments, are lost and without hope apart from salvation in Christ alone.

The Gospel
Jesus’ death on the cross was a substitutionary atonement in that He took our sin on himself and died on our behalf. His righteousness is given to those who by faith repent of their sin and accept Him as their Savior and Lord. Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the only way to be reconciled to God.

The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit, being fully God, convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment; glorifies Jesus Christ; applies the work of Christ to the believer; regenerates believers in Christ; baptizes believers into the church; and indwells believers.

The Consummation
The consummation of all things includes the future, physical, visible, personal and glorious return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead and the translation of those alive in Christ, the judgment of the just and the unjust, and the fulfillment of Christ’s kingdom in the new heavens and the new earth.

Convictions

Eternal Security
All true believers, once saved, are kept secure in Christ forever.

The Church
The local church is a community of regenerated believers who confess Jesus Christ as Lord. In obedience to Scripture they organize under qualified leadership, gather regularly for preaching and worship, observe biblical ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper, are unified by the Spirit, and strive to fulfill the Great Commandment and the Great Commission as missionaries to the world for God’s glory and their joy.

Baptism and The Lord’s Supper
Water baptism is a visual expression for the individual who has received the saving benefits of Christ’s atoning work; therefore, a believer should be immersed in water in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. As with water baptism, the Lord’s Supper is to be observed only by those who have become genuine followers of Christ. The Lord’s Supper portrays the giving of Christ’s body and the shedding of His blood on our behalf, and is to be observed repeatedly throughout the Christian life.

Marriage and Sexuality
Marriage is an exclusive relationship in which one man and one woman commit themselves to each other in covenant for life. Sexual activity should only occur between a man and a woman and only within marriage.

Sanctity of Human Life
Human life begins at conception and ends at natural death.

Creation
God created the world in six days out of nothing by the power of his word. The creation demonstrates God’s eternal power, divine nature, and glory and is in no respect compatible with any theory of evolution.

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit
All the gifts of the Holy Spirit are to be earnestly desired and practiced in an orderly manner.
